please find a solution for the AWS web login with account ID/IAM/password. The username/password credentials obviously don't work here and amazon is a big enough player that it justifies an extra credentials type IMO.

Hello,
Would it be possible for you to connect to your AWS Web Login using a web browser entry in RDM? I suspect that this should not cause any issues.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
Hello again,
I confirm that using https://www.portal.reinvent.awsevents.com/portal/login.ww as the URL of my Web Browser entry works in RDM.
For this reason, I will move this thread to the "Support" section of our form.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
you are on the completely wrong page. this is just an ad for some conference from amazon. this is the URL: https://console.aws.amazon.com/?nc2=h_m_mc but sometimes it looks like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/vcR08CegW
Hello,
Since this website require a 2 steps authentication, you will need to launch your Web Browser entry in external mode and use our Devolutions Web Login extension to auto fill your credentials.
For more information on that matter, please refer to this link:
https://helpserver.devolutions.net/devolutionsweblogin_storingcrendentials.htm
Please note that you will need to manually create a credential entry using the extension in order for it to have the correct URL.

James Lafleur
Again wrong, sorry :)
AWS console access does not need 2 factor auth. Please try it our for yourself..
Again: The main problem is, that your credential templates have only three fields as far as I can see: Name, Password, Domain. AWS uses an Account ID, an IAM name and a password. Here lies the problem and I argue, that AWS is used so far and wide in the industry that it justifies it's own credential template
As a workaround for now (and maybe you can tweak your detection routine), this works:
In the credential entry put:
In the authentication tab for your session override the HTML form detection like this:

Hello,
Thank you for this workaround.
I will contact our engineering department on that matter and see what can be done.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
