When using WinSCP in portable mode (official executables by WinSCP), the path in RDM path options can be adjusted and it works fine as long, as you don't use sessions saved in WinSCP portable.
Sessions are saved in WinSCP.ini of the WinSCP installation directory and those are not parsed by RDM. I think RDM looks only into Windows registry for finding saved WinSCP sessions.
Maybe an option in path settings like "[X] Use WinSCP.ini in installation directory" would be the best solution:
Hello,
We will take a look at this feature. I think we wouldn't need an option, since we can just look for the file in the set directory first, then do the rest of the logic. What do you think?

We've made a few changes to support this. It will be available in RDM 2019.1.28.0. I tried with the portable version and it works well for me. Let me know what you think once it's out.

Nice - Many thanks! I'm looking forward to test it :)
Just got RDM 2019.1.29.0: It works! Thank you for the fast implementation :)
