I am currently evaluating the use of the Remote Desktop Manager application for use on our Android based barcode scanners using RDP. The official Microsoft client doesn't accept scanned barcodes as keyboard input unless the android keyboard is activated.
Your application seems to work fine in this regard. However is there a way to change the default mouse mode? Currently it defaults with the mouse cursor activated. This is not ideal, as we run an application designed for touch screen input.
Hi Chris,
The mouse mode can be toggled by tapping on the pointing finger (bottom toolbar).
Unselecting the pointing finger will activate touch screen input.
However, it is less precise than the mouse cursor and most user prefer the mouse cursor mode.

Hi Nicolas,
I know I can switch the mode, however it isn't remembered between sessions. For our application the touch screen input is required, . Precision isn't needed as all UI elements are large and designed for touch input. Is there no way to set this as default so it doesn't have to be toggled every time?
Hi Chris,
We will add a default setting in the application settings. The default setting will be the cursor mode and if you change it to the touch screen mode all the sessions that you open will be in touch screen mode. Would that do?

Hi Nicholas,
That would be perfect. I am truly impressed by the response of the development team here.
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your kind words.
We are currently testing our next release. We might not be able to add the setting for next week's release. However, we will do our best to make it fit.

Hi Chris,
The option is now available. You just have to update RDM to the latest version available on the Play Store.
The option can be found under the application general Setting, User Interface, Use touchpad mode by default.
Hope this helps.
