UAC Prompt for startup

Hi. We have a problem with starting RDM. Users are requested for admin credentials on each start of RDM. I found, that problem is caused with file VPNAddOn.dll. If this file didnt exist in RDM instalation path, program during startup try to copy it from user profile to instalation folder, but this operation needs admin permission. Users didnt have this permission, so they skip UAC dialog and RDM continue starting and work correctly. But this situation is unconfortable and cause many internal support request.

Hello,
This problem will no longer exist in RDM 2019.1. VPNAddOn.dll is integrated in the application directly. The final version should be out next week.

Thanks for fast response. It means, that file stop exist as addon ? And update of this file will be made by updating whole program ?

Exactly. This will be the case for all the add-ons. Unfortunately we have a dependency on the UI Framework and this explains why we have to merge all the file into RDM. This means that the update will be automatic with the RDM upgrade.
