Customization for standardizing documentation being created and searching

Hi, there are lots of nice features in RDM, but the things I'm finding really lacking at the moment are:
1. Searching. Much of the information entered in we're not able to be searched for - makes it really hard to search for documents/info I know are there. Some of the main fields are of course searchable, but it's just not enough. And entering into the plain note / more>text field isn't great because you can't enable tech's to then enter data consistently.
2. Customization. Sure there are a few 'custom' fields, but they are not searchable and we need to be able to enter data in a constant and uniform way between technicians. It isn't sufficient to have them edit a generic "note" plain text field to put the information in. If we are going to do that, we may as well use Notepad and forgo our membership. We need to have different entry types that we can customize how we need, and be searchable. Let's use something simple as an example - GoDaddy. What I want is to have a document type that I can create say a template for called GoDaddy, that has a specific field for their username, customer number, call-in pin, and password, enter in some other sub-details like domain names and certificate names, etc.. Existing entries in the software yes you could use a Credentials entry to have a username/password for - username/password, or customer#/password (or two of them and now they are duplicated) and then a third credential entry for the call-in pin. Or you could have a http/https web connection that has the url to log in to godaddy, and specify the username and password in the the appropriate fields, but then you'd have to store the customer# and pin again in separate entries. I want one entry for godaddy that has all the required info, and has to be searchable, etc.
Hello,
Have you tried the documentation feature in RDM?

Also you can try the to use the Tag to organize and simplify your query:

Hi there, I recently found out about the tag feature through email support (that's when they suggested to post here for new feature requests). The tag works great for some things and I've started using it a little. In this example of say you have 100 GoDaddy Accounts, and want to track both a username and customer number to be searchable, the tag isn't really a feasible option. What you would end up having is a tag like "GoDaddy: 123456", "GoDaddy: 654321", etc. Tags are for something constant like "GoDaddy" alone, not including customer-specific info like this.
Documentation feature isn't what I had in mind either, again it's just plain text same as if you opened up the properties item of an entry and just went to the More tab and enter plain text in the text field. The documentation feature would let you change the look. But this is not what I am looking for either.
The biggest problem I find is multiple people entering documentation. It's hard enough to get people to do it, and you need to make it easy for them to do it. When you want to track data a certain way the customization needs to be there to do so. If you've never looked at IT Glue, maybe you should. The fact that you can go in and create custom types of entries and build you own fields is huge. We used it at the last place I worked and everyone thought it was great. There's lots of good things in RDM, but this is the most lacking I've found, the customization you provided is pretty much plain text fields which isn't good enough - we may as well store our info in plain text files and use notepad and use windows searching, it worked just as well and didn't cost thousands of dollars.
