RDM versions with Jump host
Are there any dependencies between the RDM version end-users use and the version installed on our Jump Host? E.g. do we need to keep them in lock step or can RDM on the jump host be newer/older than the client end users are using?

Simple answer no.
More complex answer yes, sometimes we will add functionality but it is rare. If you are a few minor versions off then it is not a big deal. I wouldn't try v14 & v10 for example.
My recommendation would be to keep up with the major versions (v13, v14...) but not worry about minor versions (v14.1, v14.2).
