Navigator Auto hide not working

My preference is to have Navigator hidden, fly out when clicked, and then auto hide when i click away from the navigator, to make maximum use of the available screen.

But,

When the navigator is unpinned, i cannot select auto hide - and must click on the 'x' to close, unless i click to open a session.

When the navigator is pinned, i can select auto hide - which works once, but then it makes navigator unpinned???? (and now i cannot select auto hide)


Navigator only seems to hide when i select to open a session. So, if i right click, and copy password (i'm then finished with Navigator and want to to hide) it remains there, and even if i click in the session window and paste the password, the navigator remains over the top of my window, and i need to click the 'x' to close it..

Either way, i wish to have navigator hidden by default, fly out when clicked, and auto hide when i click away from navigator, not just when i select an item.

The auto hide function to "unpin" the navigator, and then not have the ability to auto hide when the navigator is unpinned seems counter-intuitive to me, but i could be wrong.
