Is there any option to automatically update the file stored in a document entry in the database, after the document has been edited in external application?

The flow we need is as follows:

1. The RDM User double clicks the document (let's say it is a Visio Diagram) to open it in the external application (Visio)
2. The user enters some changes to the diagram then saves it and closes the Visio program
3. RDM detects changes in the saved file and asks the user whether to update the document in the database
4. If the user accepts it, RDM automatically updates the document in the database.

If it is not possible for now, would it be a big deal to add such a functionality to RDM? It would vastly streamline the process of updating documentation.

For that purpose, you could for example monitor changes to the file being edited in folder C:\Users\user.name\AppData\Local\Temp\RDM. Then, if its changed, RDM would trigger the update on the database.
