Installing Plugins on Terminal Server deployment.

How do you install plugins so they are available for all users in a terminal server installation?

I installed RDM and it works great for all users but we can't use KeyPass for example without configuring the plugin per users. How do we do it per server instead?

Hello Vincent,

this could be done with File => Options => Path

Here you can specifiy the centralized location for the Add-Ons (more infos about here)

(In addition with the Custom Installer Manager this could be the perfect solution in your case.)

WE currently use the CIM to deploy RDM to with our DB connection information.

I am a bit fuzzy on how to configure Plugin's with the solution you mentioned. I opened a ticket with Devolution's but unfortunately they merely closed it pointing me here.

While I appreciate the ability to do it in CIM I think I'd prefer to separate the features as I do not want to have to redeploy the application every time there is an updated plug-in.

Setting the Default Add-On Path... I am not sure I understand the full installation procedure. Using Keypass or Putty as the example these are plugin's no, can the Default path be used?

What do I then copy to that path... I need actual instructions on how to do this as my current attempts have all failed.

Hello Vincent,

To avoid confusion I create a Install Keepass plugin on RDS procedures which covers every step.

I also copy the procedure below in case you do not register to our Devolutions Help Center.

Requirements

Keepass Add-on

Whenever Remote Desktop Manager is started and it detects a new default.cfg file, the following dialog will appear:

By selecting Use new configuration (lose mine), the user's configuration is simply overwritten. If you only wish to update the Remote Desktop Manager licence key after a renewal, choose Retrieve new registration only.

If an issue occurs please include a print screen of the error.
