Import asset inventory data from Lansweeper IT Asset Management Software
It would be great if asset inventory data could be imported into Remote Desktop Manager (on an automated/continual basis) from Lansweeper IT Asset Management Software (https://www.lansweeper.com/).
Hello,
it looks like they do not have an API to query the data, but I saw that their database is unencrypted.
I would look into scheduling a regular export of relevant data to a CSV file, then implement a CSV synchronizer to ingest the CSV.
Would that be a viable solution?
Maurice
Having it's own Synchronizer would be ideal, but your suggestion of "scheduling a regular export of relevant data to a CSV file, then implement a CSV synchronizer to ingest the CSV." would be acceptable.
How does RDM's import sessions feature handle duplicate entries from the CSV file? Are these ignored, or will duplicate entries be created in the RDM database?
@rmaestas,
The CSV Synchronizer has an option to avoid duplicates during the process. It would be possible for you to delete them or move them into another folder as example.

How would we configure the CSV Synchronizer to just update the various Information tabs? This would be an awesome way to populate information directly into RDM.
@boconnor,
The CSV Synchronizer allow you to add new entries, but will not update the current existing ones in RDM.

Thanks for the reply. It would be a pretty nice feature for there to be an "update" synchronizer match the entry name and append the given fields.
Any News or update about it?
i use lansweeper for all assett, and i like to import all exept client assett to RDM,
it would be great.
have you find the solution at the end in the last 3 years?
Hello,
Do you mean regarding an integration with Lansweeper, or for a feature to update entries when doing a CSV sync?
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
hi,
both of them,
first integration i think.
thanks
Hello,
Thank you, I've opened a ticket for these. As a note, Lansweeper does seem to have an API now unlike a few years ago (https://docs.lansweeper.com/docs/api/intro) so that's good news when it comes to integrating in RDM.

Hubert Mireault
Really thank You,
we try RDM, but we are interested also for business edition, with team to manage, and external teams, with also manage credential,

@marco,
I opened a ticket in our ticketing system to get in touch with you so that we can schedule a live demo of RDM (and probably Password HUB).
You should have received my message already. Simply reply to it so that we can start the demo process together.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
i also need that same answer, i would want the integration between lansweeper and RDM if is possible.
Hello Helpdesk5,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter,
The integration of Lansweep in RDM could be a nice feature for our customers.
We’re presently in the process to add this feature in RDM in the near future.
Unfortunately, this new feature isn’t on our roadmap for the next release.
Did you already have a look at the CSV synchronizer?
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
it's important for us, here there are the API of lansweeper:

Hello Helpdesk5,
Thank you for this comeback.
The engineering department works hard daily for improving RDM and develops new features for all our customers.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any control over what they’re working on.
Thank you for providing the API of Lansweep.
I will forward this post to the engineering department.
Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Patrick Ouimet
