Hi Devolutions team
A coworker of mine has some issues with the credential lists in RDM version 14.1.0.0 64bit where the credentials list just shows a big red X instead of the tree view.
The issue seems like the one described here: https://forum.devolutions.net/topic24615-red-x-instead-of-tree-view.aspx
except it doesn't come and go and deleting .lyt files or restarting the program hasn't helped.
Any ideas how this can be solved?

Hello,
If Window -> Reset Layout and Deleting the .lyt files doesn't work out, he would need to make a full uninstall of Remote Desktop Manager (Also moving the RemoteDesktopManager folder in %localappdata% - Devolutions)
When he will re-install, the issue should be gone.
Best Regards,
Etienne Lord
Thanks for the reply. I'll keep that in mind in case it happens again.
This time the problem went away after rebooting the machine.
We did try removing the folder under AppData but I had forgotten about the Reset Layout option in RDM.

I have had this issue a few times now. The last time, the uninstall/reinstall worked, but it did not work this time. I have also deleted the .lyt files and yet the red x continues.
Please tell me there is a fix being worked on in a future patch. This is an extremely irritating problem when you are dealing with multiple sessions using multiple credentials and each time you get prompted to choose credentials you just get a big red x. It is disappointing that the current "fix" for this is uninstall and reinstall the software. At some point, I will get frustrated enough to just do the first half of that fix and move onto other options.
That being said, I do like this product and use it heavily. I am happy to keep using it if I know that this issue is being addressed.
On RDM Version 14.1.3.0 64-bit
UPDATE:
Renamed Devolutions folder in appdata
Ran software, software prompted to update
Updated software from 14.1.3.0 to 2019.1.21.0 (I am unclear as to why the version number changed since both were the ENT edition)
I opted to login with my cloud account instead of just putting in the license key - This may account for the version change
Imported my backup and now everything is working fine.
Hopefully I won't see the red x again.
Hello,
We are unable to reproduce the problem but I made a fix to in the reset layout to at least avoid the full cleanup

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have seen this issue come and go. Sometimes it sticks around for a bit and clears itself up and other times, like the last couple days, it does not go away.
We'll see how long before I see the red x again. Hopefully I won't, but I am not sure at this point.
