Weird navigation panel for one user

User logged out and back in and ended up with this navigation panel and cannot open documents. Other users are fine. I think he must have changed a setting but cannot find anything.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Whoops, found out that by resetting layout it is fixed. You can ignore this request.
