RDM 14.0.6.0 64-Bit
DataSource SQL Server
Hi All,
We're trying to migrate our RoyalTS connections to our newly deployed RDM.
To do that, we're using the "Import Sessions From RoyalTS", selecting the .rtsx file where the Royal sessions are saved.
Everything is imported fine (entries, folder structures...), except the credentials at folder level (username, domain, password).
If the credentials are stored directly on the entry (connection), they're imported on RDM.
This is being an issue for us, as we have most of the credentials in RoyalTS at the folder level and the connections get that information from inheritance.
I know that probably this is something related to the source tool, but I'm just wondering if anybody else faced this issue and based on that experience, if there's some kind of workaround.
On the other hand, if there are other import options on RDM to sort this out, happy to listen to the experts.
Thanks in advance,
Eloi
Hello,
I think it's something we could try to support. Could you provide us a small sample?

Hi David,
Thanks for your quick response.
Please find attached a test sample of a similar RoyalTS structure of what we want to import to RDM.
If you previously import the file in RoyalTS, you will see that I've included the 2 options for credentials, credential object and specify username and password.
Both are inherited for the rest of descendant objects.
The issue is that all that credentials are not imported to RDM.
Thanks,
Eloi

Thank you. I have created a ticket for that.

Hi David,
Have you had any feedback regarding this?
Thanks,
Eloi
Hello,
We haven't yet had time to work on this but we'll bump up the priority.

Hello Eloi,
We have completed this feature internally and it should be available starting from the version 14.1.4.0 of RDM.
Here is what the import will do more than it did before :
- Import folders.
- Import credentials.
- Add the inherited value to an entry's credential if need be.
- Link an entry with a credential if need be.
Please do keep us updated on how these changes work for you once you have the opportunity to test them.
