I use Remote Desktop Manager Free, and ever since version 5.0.0 was released, when I type into the filter box on the bottom, I no longer get a pop-up with results. I have to double-click the filter to see a list of responses. This is much more of a pain than it was previously.
Is there a setting that I'm missing or is this a bug of some sort?

this worked for me as well, on both of my (Windows) computers. i'm not sure which of the options in the "reset application layout" screen did the trick, but when i tried with just the "filter settings" box checked, it did not work. i left them all checked and it solved the issue.
edit: just kidding, it only worked temporarily. it gave me the popup, as expected, just one time, and then it quit again. this is on both of my computers.
edit 2: in one of my machines, i completely uninstalled rdm, purged the devolutions subdirectories in the appdata folder, and the program file folder. now it works as expected. what's the reason for this? is there an easier fix?
edit 3: one day later, and the filter field no longer pops up search results like it was doing yesterday. i'm running version 14.0.6.0, x64. i don't recall ever having had this issue before v14.x. is this a known, tracked bug?
