Open as Excel button missing in 14.X

When selecting a document, there used to be a button 'Open as Excel'. It is now gone. I cannot find a setting anywhere that enables it.

Was it removed or is there a way to bring it back?

Hello,

To confirm, do you mean the "open external" button on spreadsheet type documents? I went back to RDM 13 to verify but I couldn't find an "open as excel" button.

Yes, sorry I meant Open External. Was it removed from the interface?

Hello,

Could you go in File -> Options -> User Interface -> Dashboard and check the option Allow open external and open embedded switch option.

I think this is the option that you are looking for.
