Hey guys,
With the new versions of Remote Desktop Manager Free (5.0.1.0 64-bit) the VNC and Quick Connect have gone a bit weird.
1. When typing an IP address and clicking quick connect, it opens a RealVNC viewer window asking for an IP address. It's no longer pulling the IP from the quick connect text box, nor auto-connecting to it.
2. When you click the Quick Connect button, the VNC Viewer password box opens BEHIND Remote Desktop Manager Free, where it didn't before. It should open on top and take focus so you can just hit Quick Connect and type in the password. Instead, I need to hit quick connect, then select the window open behind Remote Desktop Manager Free, and then type the password.
I've had a look at the settings, but nothing has changed in there. The only change has been updating to the latest version.
EDIT: This is only with REALVNC Viewer. UltraVNC seems to work correctly. That said, RealVNC used to work well, and I generally prefer RealVNC over UltraVNC.
Cheers
Justin
Hello,
We're sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.
We will have a look on our side and let you know of our findings.

Thanks Mark.
I updated my original post to let you know that it's only happening with RealVNC viewer.
I forgot to also clarify that the VNC window only opens in the background when you try to Quick Connect while you're in an embedded RDP session.
If there are no embedded RDP sessions open, the VNC password window will open in front.
Regards,
Justin
Thanks for the details, my colleague Alex is currently looking at this issue. We have a similar issue and we are pretty sure our RealVNC integration might have something.
The thread for the other issue is : https://forum.devolutions.net/topic30695-vnc-session-launch-broken-in-.aspx
My colleague should be able to have a chat tomorrow with the engineering department and update you.

Hello,
A new version of RDM Free is available, and it seems that it contains the fix to the issue you're experiencing.
I hope this helps.
