Problem with the installation of IBM i Access Add-on 1.1.0.0

Hi All,

I've been using Remote Desktop manager with the IBM i Access Add-on 1.0.1.0.
At a certain moment Remote Desktop manager proposed to upgrade my IBM i Access Add-on to version 1.1.0.0.
I selected the new add-on and clicked on the download-button.
After I confirmed my selection, I received a pop-up telling me that an Add-on has been installed automatically and Remote Desktop Manager needs to restart to apply changes.

From then on Remote Desktop Manager always starts with the message 'You need administrator rights to install the requested add-on. Please contact your system administrator'.

This message keeps popping up every time I start Remote Desktop Manager and Remote Desktop Manager keeps asking me to install this new Add-on.
I'm running the application with a user that is local administrator. Even if I start Remote Desktop Manager 'as Administrator', the problem remains.

What make things worse, is that the pop-up window 'You need administrator rights to install the requested add-on. Please contact your system administrator', disappears behind the Remote Desktop flash screen and that Remote Desktop manager does not continue until you have clicked on 'OK' in the pop-up window. But because the pop-up windows is hidden by the flash screen, it looks like Remote Desktop manager hangs.

I managed to bypass this by pressing ALT+spacebar, then move the pop-up window next to the flash screen so that I could click on the OK button.

It looks like there is an authority problem with this new version of the IBM i Access Add-on.

Can you please have a look at this?

Thanks !

Hello,

Could you please open your file explorer and go to %localappdata%\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager and verify that you have the most recent version of the IBMiAccessAddOn.dll file.

If this .dll file is not present in this folder or if it is outdated, please use the following link to manually download it https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/addon

Best regards,
