Radmin Sessions
Hi,
We use Radmin here for remoting to all our desktop computers. Is there a way of importing in the Radmin phone book, so that we can get all our desktop computers showing up in RDM? I tried creating one test session, and there is a section there for phone book, but I am not sure what that is for.

For now, it's not possible to import the phone book, the format is in binary and it's not possible for us to decrypt the content. The phone book section can be used if you export a connection and want to link directly to it.

Is there any way you can create an importer task, that would take a CSV file, so that we could import our Radmin sessions into RDM?
We use a product called RClient, that was created by someone in Russia as a shell add-on to the RAdmin v2.x product. This program uses an INI file for its settings though. It would be nice to have just a basic importer that has the key fields in it, so that we could import all our radmin stuff into RDM and use RDM all the time. Right now we use it just for server access.

I'm planning to release later this year another SDK for the import. I think that it will be easier for the people to import their existing sessions. For now I have no solution for you.

You can take your CSV file, make a host list with it, and use that host list with the import function to make the connections in RDM.
Then, you export your new connections, add the .xml extension to it, and open in excel. Edit your values in excel to have the correct connection information, save, remove .xml extension, remove old connections from RDM, then import your modified .rdm file.
I hope that makes sense. It took some practice but I got the hang of it and I've created hundreds if not thousands of radmin connections in RDM this way.

How did you manage to export Radmin list on CSV? The only way I manage to export is using the export tool, which exports on an rpb ilegible file.
Help will be appreciated.

Maybe you can verify with Radmin how it's possible to export the sessions in CSV with their software.
