Disable password saving on entry-level or folder-level
0 vote
Hi devolutions
in the datasource-setttings, it is possible to disable password saving.
Our request is to have this option in entry- or folder-level (with inherited)
Regards
Thomas
Hello,
You can set the Credential option to "None" on the folder level, and then "Inherited" on the entry level.
And you would like for your users to not be able to saves password at all on the entries? Because there's also user specific settings that they can user that will not affect the entry itself.

I am unable to Disable the Password saving option, I have downloaded and imported the ADMX and ADML files in Local GPO and disabled the Password saving option, But still its keeps showing the option to Save the password, Can anyone suggest a better option
Hello,
Unfortunately, you cannot prevent passwords from being saved when using a Local Data Source. To do this, you would need to use an Advanced Data Source.
A complete list of the Advanced Data Sources available in RDM can be found below:
https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/data-sources/data-sources-types/advanced-data-sources/
With these types of Data Sources, it is possible to restrict access to passwords using the Role Based Security System:
https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/user-groups-based-access-control/
Also, using the "Password Policy" section of the "Data Source Settings", you will be able to disable the password saving for various locations:
