Hello,
a Feature Request:
Can you make Documentation Section of Sessions and Folders available in Offline-Mode, please? As we are using this for System Documentation and writing Details for Connections, it would be great, when we can see this in Offline-Mode.
Best Regards,
Julian
Hello,
Unfortunately there is no way for us to do that. The documentation offline synchronisation will be really hard to do on our side.

Hey David,
thank you for your answer. This is a pity because our company had planned to use the offline mode for disaster recovery. We have assumed that this is possible with an enterprise product, but without detailed documentation, which is available offline, this is unfortunately not possible.
Best Gegards,
Julian
I will try to think of a solution but for now, I have no idea how we could do that.

Another vote for this functionality with the same use case as mentioned above. Would it be possible to provide this feature as opt-in, so that it doesn't impact performance for all users, but could be enabled for certain users, where the amount of documentation is of a managable size?
still needed such an Option.
In our case, Smartphone is used to connect to Documentation.
Maybe you can somehow cache the Data for offline mode and implement a forced sync. when you start RDM in online mode?
hi david,
this is a feature a lot of our customers and our users asked too.
maybe my two cents:
create a 2nd offline db in appdata\local\devolutions.... where you store and link the docs to, so rdm doesn't slow down.
Kind Regards
Markus

I will add this to our todo list but don't underestimate the complexity of having a synchronization process. We have to take care of the changes, the permissions and do it in background.

We also have to synchronize the images.

I'm curious to know what people do when they use a software like ITGlue or another documentation tool? Do they support the offline mode?

Hello,
Related to this topic: maybe it’s possible to display the documentation tab with a badge counter in offline mode, to indicate there is documentation in the data source for the entry ?
We noticed for attachments the tab and badge counter is visible in offline mode. Users can see on an RDM entry there’s also an attachment in the data source (and know this attachment can be opened when they connect their RDM online via a remote connection).
Best regards,
Leonard
Hello,
