Flashing/disconnecting when trying RDP session

It is what happens with a number of servers that I try to connect to. It logs on, loses connection, retries etc. Then I get a black screen so I have to retry.
It's so bad that I essentially have to use Microsoft Remote Desktop - RDM won't connect.

Has it started doing this recently? Is it with all you sessions? I'm going to guess that the external process crashes (hence the reconnection). I have no clue as to why though. If you enable you Session Logs (Help -> Session Logs -> Enabled), is there anything pointing to a crash/error in them?
