The ability to add noVNC sessions in the software would be great!
https://github.com/novnc/noVNC
It's on our todo list but not done yet.

Hello David,
this has been on your list quite some time.
Is it even still on the list?
We are migrating to Nutanix AHV which leverages noVNC for VM Console (as is for many KVM implementations like Proxmox VE)
You have to be authenticated to connect to the console.
This would really make a difference for us.
Thanks for a status update in advance
Hello,
It's not implemented yet but I will raise the priority. I'm not sure how easy it would be. Have you tried to use an embedded Edge session with an auto typing macro?

Just checking to see if there is an update to this?
Hello
This feature hasn't had any traction on our side; but I will say that the landscape has changed quite a bit since this thread was first opened.
Are you specifically interested in just a noVNC integration; or are you looking at specific products that use noVNC for the virtual console (a user above mentioned Nutanix AHV)?
I'd start by highlighting Devolutions Gateway which allows just-in-time connections (no VPN required) in a protocol agnostic way (VNC is of course supported). It offers the tightest integration with RDM on desktop and mobile, through our own native VNC client; and you can also use the web client either through Devolutions Server or Hub. You can also deploy Devolutions Gateway as a standalone product without needing RDM or another server product: the functionality is very similar to noVNC or Apache Guacamole. I'd encourage you to look into that and post back or contact us directly for more information.
Otherwise, we have all the pieces to integrate noVNC sessions; fundamentally we already do the same thing for various KVMs (tunnelling VNC over web sockets). We wouldn't want to expose the noVNC web front end but it could be relatively simple at this point to provide an explicit web socket URL and launch embedded (native) VNC sessions in that way.
Let me know what you think, and if you have any other questions or feedback.
Kind regards,
Richard Markievicz
This would be specific to Nutanix AHV or any Nutanix integrations you could work on. :-)
Hello Jamie
Ok, I've created a ticket for this. From a quick investigation, we have most of the pieces needed to achieve this: Nutanix seems to have a pretty comprehensive API for the console features (listing VMs, etc) and we already support tunnelling VNC connections over web sockets. The only part I didn't see immediately was how to obtain a websocket address using the API; it might be that we have to investigate their web console and determine what API calls it makes; this will require a environment and etc to be setup on our side for development and testing. That's the main piece of friction I see here.
I don't have a timeline for this currently but we are aware that enterprises are starting to move away from VMWare and that it will be worthwhile for us to go ahead and implement this. Depending on how quickly we can get some infrastructure rolling on our side, I'd give a really rough estimate that this might be feasible in the first half of next year.
Please, let me know any additional feedback or questions you might have
Thanks and kind regards,
Richard Markievicz
