I have looked at the product comparison between the Free and Enterprise version and understand those differences -- my question is specifically about the application -- is it the same application, one with limited features and one with no restrictions? Or are they two different applications?
I've had some lockups and some odd behaviours with the Free version and am wondering if the Enterprise version might be more stable? or is the the same codebase?
Hello,
Both Remote Desktop Manager Free and Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise have a different purpose. The free version is more oriented to suit the need of a single user while the Enterprise version is more practical for a team environment since it allow you to use Advanced Data Source to share your entries and your credentials across your whole team.
For more information regarding the Data Sources, I recommend that you use the following link :

While the Enterprise version does offers more features than the free version, RDM Free has no limitation regarding the use of it's features.
As you mentioned above, Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise is more stable than the free version since it is updated more often, either for solving issues or for the integration of new features.

OK so it sounds like they are technically two different codebases, that would certainly explain stability differences.
I'm a one-person operation but needing to sync across multiple devices (Office PC, Home PC, Laptop, Tablet, SmartPhone) and so far everything works really well -- so I may need to look at a one-user version of the Enterprise version is what it sounds like. :)
Hello David,
It's the same codebase but it's not necessarily updated at the same time.
