first tried with 13.6.4.
Also an issue with 13.6.5
Hello Dwaine,
the standard path for the Hyper-V Console is C:\Program Files\Hyper-V\6.3 - RDM could not find the vmconnect.exe in this directory - this is the cause you get the message - but you can overwrite the directory in the Installation Path settings. (to C:\Windows\system32 in your scenario)

Hi,
Short question: is it possible to distribute that setting to other users (Merge with other setting, not overwriting with default settings)?
Best regards,
Rok
Hello RokB,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter!
After having a discussion on that matter with our Engineering Department, I can confirm that this cannot be achieved. The only way to achieve something similar would be to overwrite the configuration of your users with yours and I understand that this may not be the best option for you.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
Thank you for your anwser! Subquestion: Is there a plan to edit that path in defaults in next app version? I don't think there is a lot of users still on Windows 8.1...
Hello,
Thank you for your swift reply!
At the moment, it is not on the todo list of our Engineering Department to change the default path.
Best regards,
James Lafleur
Hello RokB,
After discussing we think we could simply support both paths. Could you tell us what the new default path is?

Hi,
if feature Hyper-V Management Tools on Windows 10 is installed: C:\Windows\system32\vmconnect.exe
Best regards,
Rok
Thanks! I've opened a ticket to add this additional path as a default. The behavior will be that RDM will try to find vmconnect.exe in the first path, and if it doesn't, it will fall back on this one, if not configured with a custom path.
We'll update the thread once the change is made.

Hubert Mireault
Thank you very much, have a nice weekend!
Best regards,
Rok
Hello,
We've made the change and it will be available in RDM 2020.3.15.0. Both the old path and the new will be supported by default. If you already changed the path manually, this will keep working as well.
