Query REST API within the Search field

I'm not sure to understand what you mean by the search field?

I've taken a screenshot from what I mean and attached it to this post.

We've a Wiki (Confluence) which offers a REST API. It would be interesting if we could search the WIKI through this field, too.
Another idea could be having an additional search box which can retrieve information from an REST endpoint. The configuration could be exposed by giving a possibility to enter the query URL, optional an 'auth token'.

Thanks for the honest and quick feedback. I'll think further, perhaps there will be another approach for querying :-)
