Improvements to Install Process to Prevent False Positives with Security Software
This alert thrown by McAfee makes some sense in that using a tmp.bat file name might have issues with various protection programs. Maybe you could remove the double extension, or consider using a single ps1 file to install?
Just general feedback so you know it caused issues for me that I wasn't aware of until I read through logs.
Hello,
I will investigate but I think it's done automatically by the installer we use.

Hi,
old thread, but: Any news/ideas?
Same here. Different security software will block that (for good reasons). For example: McAfee solutions, Comodo solutions.
Malware uses this behaviour - not uncommon - especially executing files out of the temp folder, especially double file extensions.
Best regards,
Daniel
Have you tried the setup.exe or the msi?

I'm not sure, but I think, the events come from the RDM update...
so it is not regarding the manual installation of RDM, but the update right after the RDM startup, when it asks for installation of an update.
I think it might be related to the script used to check if RDM is already running. I will double check.
