Hi,
I have a quick question, I can't find the compatibility of SQL Server versions with Remote Desktop Manager version 13.5.8.0
Can you tell me which SQL Server versions are compatible with RDM? Is the following Microsoft SQL version supported
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 12.0.2269.0
Outils clients Microsoft Analysis Services 12.0.2000.8
Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 6.3.9600.17415
Microsoft MSXML 3.0 6.0
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.11.9600.18953
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0.30319.42000
Système d'exploitation 6.3.9600
Thank you in advance for your answer
Hello,
What version of SQL Server do you currently have installed?
As per; https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/datasource_sqlserver.htm
All editions of SQL Server (including Express) starting with 2012 and above are supported.
Best regards,
Marc Beauséjour
Actual SQL Server version is 12.0.2269, we using SQL Server 2014.
According to your information, it's compatible.
However when opening RDM a message requesting the update of the database is displayed, we have more than 50 users, how to automatically accept the update message for these users ?
In advance, thank you.
Hello,
Indeed, if you upgrade RDM from version 12 to 13 or 13.0.6 to 13.5.8.0, a database upgrade is required.
you need an account who has enough privileges to perform the upgrade of the database. When the database will be upgraded, they should not see this message anymore.
For more information on database upgrade, please consult https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/database_upgrade.htm
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hello,
Ok I updated the database and users no longer see the message
Thank you for you help :)
We will update RDM in our production environment, do you know if it is necessary to restart the server during an update?
Hello,
No need to restart the SQL Server after the database upgrade.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
