Step-By-Step setup for VMWare Virtual Center Server

Hi
Can anyone provide me with a step by step procedure for setting up a VMWare Console connection.
I followed the manual and PowerCli are working ok.


I cannot figure out if the connection requires further scripting.

Hello Lars,

The firsts steps is to follow the PowerCLI as you said, but please refer to this help topic and be sure to apply all the procedure on PowerCLI X86 and 64 Bits :https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/kb_configuringpowercli.htm

Once that PowerCLI has been configured you could test it with two beautiful scripts already build. The first one GetVMs.ps1 will list all VM on the server and the second ConnectVMRCFromPowerCLI.ps1 will confirm is VMRC has been installed on your computer: https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/troubleshooting_vmwarepowercli.htm

If everything work, please open RDM, the same version has PowerCLI test X86 or 64bits. and then just enter your server credentials by following this help topic.

If you have a vCenter server do not forget to enter the credentials as Username@domain.

If it doesn't work could you have a look in Help -- Application log if you have any log.
