Running 13.5.0.0 with 10 users across several workstations with MSSQL DB.
The requirement for 2FA was activated at the data source. Also, I had my local machines set to require 2FA, so I ended up with two requests for 2FA. Registering another machine meant I had to create another Google 2FA. For every machine, I had a different 2FA code plus the data source code.
In order to simplify and retain security, I decided to swap GoogleAuth with Yubikey.
On the laptop, I disabled the client 2FA and registered the data source 2FA. What a dream! It worked perfectly. So I went on and deleted the Google 2FA entry.
However, I deleted the entry for the desktop! Now I cannot login to RDME at all. Uninstalling RDME, deleting %appdata" and reinstalling, does not fully uninstall! I keep getting asked for Google 2FA. It is either enter the right 2FA code or quit the program!
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Alex
Hello,
The configuration of the 2FA is saved in a file name RemoteDesktopManager.cfg. This file is located in %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager
Renaming this file to RemoteDesktopManager.old should create you a new .cfg file without a 2FA configuration.
