After renewing license I constantly get the message "Your subscription is expired"

avatar

I am constantly getting the message box with "Your subscription is expired". I have renewed the license which is now valid untill march 2021.
I can't open RDP files, can't add new entries,...

Very annoying.

Tried re-entering the serial, no luck.

Ok founded another thread on the forum with the same issue.
Had to renew the subscription also on the online database.

The only issue I have is opening rdp files which won't work.

It opens a explorer window where I need to select the remote desktop manager installer.

Any idea?

Thanks!

Hello,

Indeed, this message is related to the Online Database subscription.

Have you renewed it? If yes, have you entered the new license on https://cloud.devolutions.net ?
On the portal, select your database and then, click on Settings. You should see a subscribe button to enter your new key
You can also post a screenshot of that window if you are not sure if it has been renewed or not

Hi Jeff,

this part is solved and I have control back of my entries.
The only thing I have is when I get a rdp file and open this it shows me an explorer window to point to the installer of Remote Desktop Manager.

Normally it opens perfectly but now it won't.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

Could you post a screenshot of the window that you are referring to?

Does this window appear in RDM or in your web browser?

Hello,

Do you want to open your .rdp files in RDM or Microsoft RDP?

Hello,

In your screenshot, the Setup.RemoteDesktopManager.13.0.5.0.exe is selected in the File Name field. Instead, could you select RemoteDesktopManager.exe or RemoteDesktopManager64.exe located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\Remote Desktop Manager

You can also try to re-associate the .rdp extension type to the RDM application. This would need to be done in Windows.

Hi Jeff,

already tried all of that, here is the result after choosing one of the others .exe files:

Hello,

You RDM installation seems to be corrupted.

Could you backup the folder RemoteDesktopManager located in %localappdata%\Devolutions and then uninstall RDM by using the Microsoft Tool below
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

Then, restart your computer and install the latest version of RDM
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/download
