13.5.4.0 Parent Entry - sub connection parameters shown twice

13.5.4.0 Parent Entry - sub connection parameters shown twice

avatar

Hello,

for (some?) sub connections the parameters will be shown twice in the Dashboard Overview tab - I have attached a few test entries.
This behaviour only occur, if you select the root (parent entry) - if you select a sub connection the paramters are shown correctly.

Hello Min,

This was a silly mistake which should be fixed starting from the next beta of RDM.

Hello again,

Works perfect as before in 13.5.6.0!

Just an additional question - As you can see in my screenshot from the first post, the Web Browser (http/https) sessions (in our case linked to credential repository) shows an empty Username paramter - I noticed this behaviour only on this type of session - is this also a small bug?

Thanks!

Hello Min,

This does seem like a bug. I'll investigate and get working on this as soon as possible.

Hello Min,

For now I have removed the "username" field when the connection is using a credential repository to go in accordance with how the rest of the application works. This should show properly in the next beta of RDM.

I'll have a discussion with the team next week to see if we want to show the credentials in the HTML export (overview) when using a credential repository.

Hi Michaël,

perfect thank you!

That would be also great - would this apply to all types of sessions? Would this also work (displaythe correct username) if an user specific / a local specific setting is applied?

Hello Min,

We have modified the overview so that it shows the credentials from the credential repositories, the inherited credentials and the overridden credentials.

There is a new option in Data Source Settings -> Security which is called "Resolve credentials in overview" which can be disabled if someone doesn't want this new behavior.

This should all be available starting from the next beta of RDM.
