Hi,
our company is interested to the RDM software but we don't find the support to GlobalProtect VPN and we sell mostly Palo Alto Networks Firewall.
There is any news?
Thank you so much.
Hello,
Do you know how these 2 VPN's can be invoke? Command line, SDK, API?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi,
the VPN is only 1 not 2 (GlobalProtect): unfortunately we don't know how to invoke this VPN. We can try to talk with the support of PaloAlto Networks?
Hello,
If you have a support plan with them, indeed, I will suggest contacting them. This would be very helpful since it's difficult for us to contact them because we are not a direct customer.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi,
ok i will try and update this ticket when i have any good (i hope) news.
Best regards,

Hi,
Any update on this one?
We have a few clients who are also using the GlobalProtect VPN client and this would be a great feature to integrate into RDM.
Hi,
unfortunaly i don't have update for now.
Bye.
Hello,
@Anthony
Do you know if there is an API, SDK or Command-line parameters that we can use?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
I think a possible sollution is this https://github.com/dlenski/openconnect ....
Have you ever thought of using docker as "VPN portal" ; for example > https://github.com/dlenski/openconnect
Would be aswome to spin up docker container from RDM which are just intended to setup and open the VPN.
I mean to tunnel the network using the docker container: client PC => Docker with VPN => Network over VPN
Hi,
did you advance on this project?
Thanks
I have no update.
Bye.
I am very much interested in this. Any update on this integration?
Hello,
Do you know if they have an API or a command line interface that we could use to make an integration? Unfortunately from what we could gather, there was no such thing at the time so we never were able to create an integration.

Hi.
Can this be used?
https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/8-1/pan-os-release-notes/pan-os-8-1-release-information/cli-and-xml-api-changes-in-pan-os-8-1/globalprotect-cli-api-changes
Don't know if this is the full API/CLI but maybe a start?

Hello,
I'm not sure this is the right kind of command that could be used for an integration unfortunately.
I looked a little and it seems to have a CLI for Linux: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/globalprotect/5-1/globalprotect-app-user-guide/globalprotect-app-for-linux/use-the-globalprotect-app-for-linux
But nothing mentions a CLI being available for Windows in their documentation, so I'm not sure it's possible. I also found this thread on the PaloAlto LIVEcommunity from 2019 that mentions it's not possible on Windows: https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/general-topics/globalprotect-windows-client-command-line-interface/td-p/257275
I think your best bet for now might be to contact PaloAlto and ask them if they have a CLI on Windows to allow connecting to GlobalProtect VPN through scripting.

I am having the same Issue, I would like to connect with Global Protect but cannot seems to make it work, any clue?
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have the necessary tools to implement this in RDM, as mentioned by our engineering department, we would need a command line that is working in order to implement this.
If you can achieve this using CLI on Windows, perhaps you could provide us with the details of your configuration?
Let me know,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
