Connecting to a customer via RDP and inside of the RDP I have RDM Free 4.5.3.0 installed....from there I connect to ~15 different Windows servers via MS RDP. So RDP inside an RDP.....
After a recent update whenever I connect the sessions in RDM Free capture the mouse, but not the keyboard. I can click anywhere, log in/out, but if I type....nothing. I clicked on the magnet at the bottom and tried it both on and off....no change.
Something else I can try? In the mean time I rolled back to 3.6.2.0 and have no issues.
Hello,
Does RDM Free is installed on a Windows 7 computer?
If yes, please apply the solution proposed in this article

Could be that. This is a Windows 2008 R2 machine and I think that is the same kernel. That and this machine has not been updated since 12/9/2015. WOW!
I would update it, but that is not in my scope of work for this project..... Thanks for the article.
Hello,
I think I have the same problem... To temporally fix the issue, I click out of the current RDP tab and into something else. Then I go back to the RDP that had the issues and my keyboard works.
I also use a jump server as my company uses Beyond Trust, so its an RDP in a RDP.
I did attempt to apply the patch to my system, however it said that it was not applicable. My system is Windows 7 and I have RDM Enterprise v4.0.30319
Thank you for your help!
John
@John Kerkhoff,
If you are on Windows 7, your Microsoft RDP application is probably not up to date.
