Good afternoon
I am trying to integrate RDM with TeamPass, when I create a new Credential Entry I am asked for an API Key, what is this and how do I find it please.
Thanks
Alan
Hello,
The integration of TeamPass in RDM is based on their API
https://teampass.readthedocs.io/en/latest/api/api-special/#api-version
We don't have TeamPass in our test environment, so I was looking at their documentation, but I was not able to retrieve this information
As per this link, https://teampass.readthedocs.io/en/latest/api/api-read/#find-items , the TeamPass administrator should have this information.
Are you an administrator in TeamPass to get this information?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi Jeff,
I am also trying to get the teampass integration to work, but I am not sure whether I am using the correct values since the list will not be populated and no password entries will be shown.
Host
"http://<ip-address>" I also tried "http://<ip-address>/api/index.php" and only "<ip-address>"
API Key
I created a key from the settings' API section, but also tried the user's API key that is shown in the user's profile.
Username
I tried the admin as well as a standard user.
Anything I am missing here? I also read somewhere that the developer team is making changes to the API which might break the integration.
Many thanks for your help,
Georg
Hello,
I'll have a look at this with our engineers and let you know of our progress.

Hello,
I was looking with our dev team for some documentation to help retrieve the API key and we found this;
https://teampass.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tpc/install/#how-to-get-your-api-key
Could you please have a look and try again in RDM to see if it helps?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi Mark,
Thanks for following up on this. I already retrieved the API key as described in the docs, but it does not seem to work in RDM.
Best,
Georg
Hello,
If you go in Help -> Applications Logs, do you see something there?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi Mark,
Sorry, I can't see any entries in the Application Logs. I also changed around the variables in the teampass entry a little, but nothing.
Best,
Georg
Hello,
I checked with my team and instructions on TeamPass do not seem very clear.
What we think for you is missing is the option Always prompt with list.
Could you please check that option and then click on the ellipsis button next to the Account field too see if it retrieves your credentials?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi Mark,
thanks for your suggestions. I tried that, but when I hit the button to show the list, the dialog shows a progress bar for less than a second, but comes up with an empty list window - it does not show the folder structure nor any password entries. When I check the "Always prompt with list" box, the button no longer functions (grayed out). I also tried adding the teampass repository to an entry, but the list that shows when trying to connect to that entry shows the same problem as described before - no folder structure or password entries are shown.
Best,
Georg
Hello,
We would like to have a remote session with you.
Do you mind sending us an email to ticket@devolutions.net so we can send you a scheduling link?

Hello,
Just a quick message to let you know that we have rebuild our TeamPass server internally, but we have authentication issue with it without using RDM.
I will work on this with my IT team and validate the integration with RDM later.
Sorry for the delay regarding the resolution of this issue.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hello,
Just wanted to inform you that our test environment of TeamPass has been rebuilt and that the issue reported above does not occurs using RDM 14.1.3.0 and a SQL Server Data Source.
Could you please tell me which version of RDM and what type of Data Source you are currently using?
Best regards,
James Lafleur
