Export not including sub connections

Hi @all,

is it possible to export a complete folder including all sub connections?

In my special case, I need to export a whole folder (selected) filled with contacts and logindata as sub connections. I can check "show sub connections" to show them in the overview, but cannot export them anywhere.

Hello,

mark the folder in the tree pane with the desired connections => Right Click => Export => Export Group (.rdm)

It includes all sessions and sub connections

Hello Min,

thank you for your quick response.

Your solution works well with RDM files, but is there a possibility to do this with XLS, CSV or HTML Exports? I need to give this export to one of our customers in a usable/readable format.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hello,

in this case you can try following procedure:

mark the folder in the tree pane with the desired connections => Right Click => Export => Advanced Export => here you can try the different export types.

PS: But i recommend to export in .rdm format and suggest your customer to install Remote Desktop Manager Free - maybe he like it and buy the Enterprise version - than it is much easier to share the sessions and credentials :)

Hi.

I've already tried this, but the sub connections do not show up in the final files. It seems like there is a checkbox missing to enable.

PS:
Nice Idea, but not for those type of customers we have. :)

Hi,

the .html export should be work - in my test the sub connections are included. In the xls and csv export you are right - here they are not within.

PS: you would be surprised - RDM is easy to use - it is worth a try ;)

Hi,

is there anything I have to enable first? There are no sub connections included in my case.

I have a folder with contacts inside and under every contact I have logindata stored as sub. Theese are not being exported into my html file.

Bug in 13.5.0.0?

Hello,

I tried the export with SSH and RDP entries (which holds some sub connections) - In this case the sub`s are shown in the export.
As I configure a contact with sub connections I have the same behaviour as on your side.

Hello Min,

so it seems to be related to contacts with sub connections. Is it a bug or a feature?

PS:
Now I realized "Min-Destens"... :iagree:

Wäre dann auf deutsch vermutlich besser erklärt gewesen. :D

Mfg aus dem schönen Brandenburg.

Hello,

We have been able to reproduce the issue. It is indeed a bug. It has been assigned to our engineering department and we will notify you as soon as we have any update on that matter.

Hello,

This issue has been fixed internally for "Contact" and "Information" connection types. You should be able to export your sub connections to a .html file starting from the next beta of RDM.
