Hello,

since 13.0.15.0 the navigation tree collapse after staring a web browser session in external display mode. (Like Right Click => Collapse All)

Update: Looks like all types of session are affected when display mode external is configured

Hello,

I'm unable to reproduce this behavior.

Is your datasource SQL Server?

Do you experience this behavior with a RDM freshly started?

Thank you

Hello Alexandre,

thats interesting, for me the behaviour exists on 3 different devices (actually with 13.0.15.0), but yesterday the same occurs on a client with 13.0.17.0.

Yes, datasource is MS SQL, and occurs on a fresh started RDM instance. But I can reproduce the issue also with a xml datasource.

I can provide a short video via PM if you want.

Hello,

Yes the video would be a good start.

However, i suspect a setting in your configuration that would trigger this, and we could be searching for days without finding it. So if you could send us your configuration file as well, i could compare with mine and maybe be able to reenact it.

Please follow this guide to send us your config file: https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/howto_configurationfile.htm

Thank you.

Hello,

I found out with your configuration that 2 options seem to be the source of this behavior.

- Clear Filter on Open Connection.
- Disable Smart Expand on Filter.

Please see attached image.

I'll forward the case to the Quality Assurance Department to figure out if there's a bug (since not using any filter triggers it) or if it's designed to work this way.

You can disable one of these option to see if it helps, disabling both definitely did the trick for me.

Best regards,

Hello Alexandre,

thanks for your investigation! That make sense, but if I didnt use the filter and select directly the external web browser session - the filter couldnt be cleared, because there is none.

Additionally can you try my configuration on 13.0.6.0 ? I did and the behaviour is not present.. ? So anything must be changed between 13.0.6.0 and 13.0.15.0 resepectively 13.0.17.0.

Thanks! ;)

Hi!

I tested with 13.0.6.0 and it was indeed working as we would expect.

I forwarded the case as I mentioned.

Thank you!
