RDM - 2 Factor Authentication turned on, won't except any codes. Help!
I have been using RDM with 2/FA with Google Authenticator (well actually using the Authy app) and it has been working fine for months. I have it set that it asks me for a code right when I launch the app and won't let me in to the Application. Today it just tells me I am entering the incorrect Google Authenticator Code. I have tried right when I get a new number and other varying amounts of time before the code expires and non of them let me in. How do I get in?
I use this product so much I feel like I can't function without it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Is it possible that the time between your phone and the computer has a 30 second and above difference?
If that is the case, this would explain the issue that you are experiencing.
If you need to fully reset the 2FA, we have an article on the matter;
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/troubleshooting_2-factor.htm
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello,
I forgot to ask. What version of RDM are you using?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
I just checked and there is only a 3-4 second difference between my phone and the computer.
I can't log in to tell the exact version of RDM, but I assume it is the latest because I just set up this computer about two months ago and I have it set to notify me of any new versions.
Hello,
Sorry to jump in, but since your are not able to get inside RDM, I would like to help.
Please follow the steps in this article to remove the 2FA from your configuration
Support/Resources > Troubleshooting > 2-Factor Authentication
Then, you should be able to get in.

That worked. Not sure what I think about how easy it is to get around 2/FA, seems like it defeats the purpose.

Hello,
Using a local data source like SQLite or XML as example, when you enable a 2FA on the data source or on the application, the configuration is saved locally in the configuration file. To enhance the security using those type of data source, you would need to configure a password on the database as well. To do so, go in File -> Manage Password. This will also encrypt your local data source.
Using a data source like Devolutions Server, the 2FA is handled on the server, so you would need the help of the administrator if you are not able to get into the system because of a 2FA issue.
