Hello
I am trying to configure VMWare Remote Console with out a great deal of success. I have followed the PowerShell configuration instructions and using a 32Bit power shell I can setup a VMWare Remote Console with the command
ConnectVMRCFromPowerCLI.ps1 [server name] [username] [password] [vm]
When I try to set up a connection in RDM (32Bit) a power shell window opens is full of red text and then closes immediately.
In the application error log I get this error
System.IO.IOException: Incorrect function.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.BeginWriteCore(Byte[] bytes, Int32 offset, Int32 numBytes, AsyncCallback userCallback, Object stateObject)
at System.IO.FileStream.FlushWrite(Boolean calledFromFinalizer)
at System.IO.FileStream.Dispose(Boolean disposing)
at System.IO.FileStream.Finalize()
Initialliy I got a proxy error until I configured RDM to use the system proxy
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
Alan
Hello,
What version of RDM are you using?

Hello,
Could you please try to configure a VMWare console in RDM to see if it works?
If it doesn't, could you please tell us what logs are generated in View -> Application Logs?
In case you need help, please follow the documentation here to configure VMWare PowerCLI;
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/kb_configuringpowercli.htm
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Thanks very much, it now works.
