User Specific settings: Add equivalent of "User Interface > Color"
0 vote
We have a SQL backend, only allowing end users to edit User Specific settings. They've requested the ability to change the color settings (Session Properties > User Interface > Color) coloring the tab and adding a border.
Hello,
Thank you, we'll add this to our todo list :)

Hello, just wondering if there was ever any traction on getting this implemented? I noticed in the user-specific settings we currently don't have the ability to override "user interface" settings (e.g. so a user could configure tab groups for themselves that don't apply to other users) (we are using the MS SQL data source). Having this ability would be incredibly useful!
Best regards.

Hello,
As far as I know this is not yet possible, but we are noting your interest in this feature.
To help us out, could you specify which settings exactly you would need to help your workflow? Is it just the tab groups in your case?

Hubert Mireault
Thanks Hubert - yes, in my case it would just be the tab groups for now (I suppose each user having the ability to set their own colors would be nice too, although I haven't played around with that much yet).

Thank you for the information, we will open a ticket and see what we can do. I can't give you an estimate on when we will be able to work on this at the moment.

Hello,
We've added the possibility to override Tab Groups in User/Local Specific Settings, this should take effect with the upcoming 2024.3 version.

That's great to hear, thank you! Will definitely check it out when the new version comes out.
