What does 'Default' do for the "Keep tab page opened on disconnect" option (RDP profile -> User Interface) ?
Is there a general setting somewhere that I can use to make that 'default' mean the same as 'true' ?
I would like to have this option enabled by default, including for all new RDP profiles.
Hello,
By default this value is false.
You can change the default value in File>Options>Types and set a Default Value to your needs.
You can see in attached screencap.
Hope this helps.

Great... exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks a lot.
I'd say this option belongs under user interface options... not under "Types"
the documentation says so as well, I had to search the forum to know where this option resides in the menu...

Hello,
Thank you for pointing out the error in the documentation, I will ask the team to fix it.
As for the UI vs Types, this option is only applicable to sessions, that is why it is displayed under Types. Please note there is a search at the bottom of the option dialog; it is often faster to change an option that way.

Hi guys, I like to have that option on, however I noticed that almost 100% of the times I use it for a fast reconnection to the host rather than just close the tab (i.e. the connection has already been disconnected so I'm not closing it but just the tab I choose to keep open after the disconnection. In other words in my opinion the options should be reversed, with the Close at the bottom since most probably it has less chances to be used (imho again if one choose to keep the tab page opened after the disconnection)
Hello @GiammaTheo,
Thank you for your feedback.
We will not modify the behavior of the "Keep tab page opened on disconnect" option if you ask us to.
If you meant something else, please don't hesitate to provide more details on your request.
Thank you for your collaboration.

Hello @Erica Poirier Im not asking anything and it is nothing about the behavior itself, I just suggested that the placement of the three buttons is not the best in my opinion, the reason is expressed above.
Based on my daily usage patterns, obviously, I would say that the Close button as a first choice is not that useful. Or, at least, make the user choice the desired order.
It's just a suggestion, not a feature request neither a change request.

Hello,
Thank you for the screenshot. I wasn't completely understanding your first post, but now I do. I will change the order, and your suggestion makes a lot of sense.

David Hervieux
Hi @David Hervieux, Team,
really thanks for this change, much appreciated!
Probably the users (and myself) will take a little time to get used to it, but I hope that in the long run it will prove to be practical.
Thank you again.
