Shortcuts don't keep their inherited credentials?

I don't know if this is by design or not but I keep running into this and don't like how it works.

I have logins for multiple domains stored in RDM. I have also created a folder call Admin Boxes and have created shortcuts to all the Admin/Util servers from all the domains I support so I can see them all in the same folder. The problem is that it doesn't keep my Used Specific Settings for dredentials that were inherited to the original Admin boxes. When I click on one of the shortcuts, I have to log in manually or manually set the credentials after the shortcut is created.

My specific example looks like the attached file. Each of the folders in Red has User Specific Settings set to use credentials from my vault for the domain they use. All the individual sessions inside the folders are setup with inherited credentials so I only have to set them at the top folder level. I created shortcuts and put them in the Admin Boxes folder. Generality a shortcut is just a link that refers back to the original object which would mean it should use the credentials from the original object but that's not the case.

Does that make sense? Is there any way to change that so the shortcut would use the settings that were inherited down to the original object?
