I've tried searching around, and couldn't seem to find an answer anywhere.
How can I keep my scrollback history after I've disconnected from an SSH-session?After I logout the session window is just blank.
Hello,
I'm not sure if it supported. Our developer are not available this week but I will assign this thread to them. You should get an answer as soon as they get back.

Hello,
This isn't currently supported but this is on Denis' list. He will be assigned to this topic.

Hi Hubert,
Like to check if this feature is available already?
Best Regards
Fu Keong
Hello,
this feature is available since v13.5.0 released on March 19th 2018.
Please make sure that the option "Close on disconnect or error" found in the SSH session in the advanced section is not checked.
We use currently version 13.5.9.0 and it works properly ;)
Regards,
Min
Hi Min,
v13.5.0 is for the enterprise version?
I'm currently using Remote Desktop Manager Free v4.5.3.0, is this feature available?
Best Regards
Fu Keong
Hello Fu Keong,
I`m personally on the Enterprise Version - for the Free Version it is available since v4.5.1.0 released on March 6th 2018.
So if you are on v4.5.3.0 it should work (please verify also the "Close on disconnect or error" setting)
Regards,
Min
Just to follow up, I just upgraded to 4.5 as well, and it seems its implemented now, yay.
has been since 4.1 as far as I can tell from release notes.
Hi,
For 1 of my entry, I have checked the following and its unchecked.
Please make sure that the option "Close on disconnect or error" found in the SSH session in the advanced section is not checked.
But it is still not working for me.
What I did:
1. Open SSH session using saved entry.
2. On the tab, right click, select reconnect (while the connection still active).
3. Session reconnects but scroll back or previous commands are missing. (Like a new session).
Same thing happens if the connection is disconnected and I select 'Reconnect'.
Sorry, I just realised that my query isn't the same as OP's.
OP's: Keep history after disconnect (which I is working for me).
Mine's: Keep history after reconnect (like PuTTY, it just continues the login of the new session after the last line).
Let me know if this feature is supported and whether to open a new thread?
Best Regards
Fu Keong
@Fu Keong Nyan,
What version of RDM are you running?
If it's not 13.5.9.0, could you give it a try? You can download this version here

Hi,
I am using Remote Desktop Manager Free v4.5.3.0.
I also tried Enterprise 13.5.9.0 beta on Windows 10 1803, connecting to CentOS 7.
My steps:
Just wanna reemphasize, I'm looking to retain the previous commands / history on reconnect / disconnect+connect.
If a new thread needs to be started, do let me know.
Best Regards
Hello,
I would need to verify this with our engineering department and get back to you.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais

I had a chat with our engineering department and the feature that you are looking for, it's not implemented.
The priority of the implementation has been increased.
Sorry for the delay.
