Open default webpage in tab at startup

In Administration -> Data Source Settings under General, we have an option to specify a custom welcome page;

Thanks - looks promising.

Does any setting that I do in my client replicate to all clients that use that datasource?
Also can one control what browser is used for rendering in this TAB?
Can the target frame for links be controlled - Currently it seems to be targeting _new to display in a external window.

Indeed, using the data source settings, this will distribute the proper page to all the users who will connect to the data source.

I had a chat with our engineering department and it may be possible to use another browser instead of IE for the welcome page. However, the performance will be affected, because the loading with Chrome as example is much slower than with IE.

For your other question about the target frame, could you provide us more information on what you are looking for exactly.
