Hi,

we figured out some issues by importing contacts with outlook.





In Screenshot #2 -





If the import are succesfull and the contact is displayed in the tree view with "Lastname Firstname (Company)" and then you click "Edit" (- no matter if you make a change or not and click on "OK", the contact are now saved as "Firstname Lastname".

This automatic behaviour is in my view a bug. Additionally a option would be helpful, in which format the contacts are saved (shown) in RDM - like the "File as" field from outlook.

Lastly - If you select the contact and choose View (doesn't matter if the display set to Embedded (tabbed) or External or Undocked) the buttons "OK "and "Cancel" are without a function - you can click on it but nothing happens. Only way to close the view is to click on the x.

Additional columns for sorting like Company, Birthday... would also very helpful :cool:

Hello Min,

A new text field with the label "Name" has been added for contact entries and will work like all the other entry types. If the field is empty, it will use "Firstname Lastname" and make it the entry's name like it used to. Otherwise, it will use the value in the new "Name" field as the entry's display name.

The "OK" and "Cancel" buttons have been removed.

The columns "Birthday" and "Company" have been added in the column chooser of the dashboard.

These changes will be available in the next minor release of RDM.
