Scaling issues whenever someone logs into remotes session after a specific user does

There are a number of servers that multiple resources have to share the same login for.

Whenever user A logs in, something about his settings are causing the session to not scale properly for subsequent users. See attached screenshot. I had to blur out much of it, but you can see the application UI is not fitting on the screen and that the size of the windows task-bar buttons are huge. It is unusable.

To get a usable experience you have to completely logout, rather than disconnect, and log in again or open with parameters: external.

This seems to only be an issue when using embedded or workspace screen. If I open externally, I don't have this issue.

How can I either (1) set up preferences to force the remote session to properly scale or (2) have the other user change his preferences so he stops messing up the scaling.

We are both using the exact same make and model of computer (both have high DPI built-in screens) and both are using Remote Desktop Manager to access the remote server.
