Hi-
we are using Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise Version 12.6.8.0
I have created a template which opens a entry with WinSCP - it has worked when created some months ago. Now, after some updates later, it's not working anymore. I have also tried to create it as a local template, but it does not start - nothing happens....

Hi
The WinSCP template use the WinSCP application. Could you test to create a WinSCP entry and test it?

hello,
We have reproduced your issue, a ticket has been sent to the engineering team.

Hi rema,
Sorry, I've just learned how "open with template" work.
It takes the host/username/password of the entry and apply the other settings of the template to the current entry.
I assumed that it was your issue, though it might not be.
Can you confirm that it is not your issue?
Regards,
Alexandre Roy
Hi Alexandre - not sure if I got you right. You mean it's mandatory to fill in host, username and password? It looks like this:
I think it should be right - and in the past it DID work...
Hi again :),
Yes it is mendatory to fill in the host name, the username and the password on the entry but not the template. We might have changed how it work over the last year, this is very possible.
The username and password field as the host on a template is used with macros script tools feature.
Can you tell me if that solve your issue?
Regards,
Alexandre Roy
My object looks like this:
So we haven't filled in username and password directly, but via the credential repository (we have extra objects for credentials)
Hello again,
I see, have you tried launching with the Native SCP entry as a template instead of the external template? because I do get your issue too, using the external WinSCP entry do get me a connection error.
Hopefully this works for you as a workaround for the time being while I investigate a little deeper on the issue.
Best regards,
Alexandre Roy

Hi, it doesnt't matter if I use the build in application or if I use an external WinSCP application. But I think I could narrow the problem. The issue only occurs when the credentials are used from the credential repository.
Thats how it works:
Hello,
Sorry, I am not able to reproduce the issue. Would you send me a quick video to aroy@devolutions.net on how to reproduce the issue?
I would need the entry property and the template property used in the video as well as the opening of the session.
Using credentials repository on the entry worked for me. Although I had a connection problem and it seems that the port number used is the one set in the template.
Can you verify if the port on the template you are using to launch the session ?
Best regards,
Alexandre Roy
