Hello Guys
I had a Meeting and there was an interesting question asked by my coworker.
My coworkers use the tool XCA to create and manage certificates. With the near deployment of RDM at our company they want to handle all that stuff in RDM.
Is there an addon or function (didn't find that) or another kind of possibility to create and manage certificates?
Kind regards
Steffi
Hello,
There's a certificate document entry type that you can use to store your certificates in RDM.
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/sessions_certificate.htm
We also have a Certificate Generator in RDM.
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/tools_certificategenerator.htm
However, I don't know if those 2 features are what you are looking for.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi Jeff
This is not what i am looking for but thanks.
Do you know XCA - X Certificate and key Management?
I am looking for a solution like this combined with RDM. Maybe there is a possibility to create a Interface or something like this?
Kind regards
Steffi

What would be the top 3 features you would like?

David Hervieux
Dear David
Here are the 3 Top Features, we would like to have:
1. Generating certificate templates
2. Generating X509-certificates and keys
3. Possibility of export of certificates
Thank you for your reply
Kind regards
Steffi
Thank you for the details.

Hello, I am also interested in that function, has any progress been made in that situation?
Regards,
Haris
Hi Haris,
This is an area of improvement that we would like to look into, can you describe what kind of certificates you need to use, and how you would like to manage them in practice? Do you need to import a custom CA and sign X.509 certificates with it? Is it an X.509 certificate chain for web, or for other types of use, like Authenticode code signing, or client certificate authentication, etc? Is it more basic, like having a better way to import and export X.509 certificates in different formats (.pem, .pfx, etc), with a more detailed view of the certificate fields?
Best regards,
