What version of RDM are you running?

As of now, you can navigate to %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager or RemoteDesktopManagerFree depending on the version that you are using and edit the RemoteDesktopManager.cfg file. In that file, remove the information between the EncryptedDataSources lines. You should now be able to reopen RDM. However, you would need to reconfigure your data source via the File -> Data Sources menu.

I downloaded latest from your website two-three days ago: Setup.RemoteDesktopManagerFree.3.6.5.0.msi
I don't have file RemoteDesktopManager.cfg in %localappdata%\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManagerFree :)

This is very strange, because RDM aboslutely needs a RemoteDesktopManagerFree.cfg file to work properly.

Just to be sure, you have navigate to %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManagerFree, right?

If you move the entire RemoteDesktopManagerFree folder on your desktop, are you able to launch RDM properly?

it redirects me to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManagerFree
(deliberately changed my real username)

When I moved RemoteDesktopManagerFree folder to desktop the application starts still asking for the password (old nor current work) and it created new RemoteDesktopManagerFree folder still no RemoteDesktopManagerFree.cfg file

Yes :) I've put back original %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManagerFree
Removing everything between <EncryptedDataSources></EncryptedDataSources> from .cfg file caused the application to ask for password, I typed in old password, asked for DB password, typed it in and let me in. For the moment I have changed settings to use password instead of windows credentials and can log in everytime. New section for <EncryptedDataSources></EncryptedDataSources> was created.

Would you like to run some test scenario? I would like to use Windows credentials in the end.

I have been able to reproduce your issue.

It seems to have an issue when you switch from Application Password to Windows Credentials. A ticket has been opened to our engineering department.

However, I have a workaround to allow to enable the Windows credential option:

Now, RDM will ask you the proper password to open the application.
