Understanding / configuring logins

Understanding / configuring logins

I'm trying to figure out how to use the auto-fill feature to include the login credential for a website, but it isn't working. I have looked at the Help site, but it doesn't have any details.

One of the sites is https://my.hostmonster.com/cgi-bin/cplogin

For this site, my username is "gusnowski.ca"

Another site is - https://account.meraki.com/login/dashboard_login

I have tried multiple times, but I can't get RDM to fill the forms. For a browser I am using Firefox and embedded within RDM.

It makes sense that I will need to use some sort of variable to identify the fields.

With Hostmonster, under "Login", I have used the "Discover" tool and it comes up with:

Form ID = l_login_form and

Password ID = lpass

From there, where do I enter the username and password? I have attached two images of the Hostmonster example.

If someone could explain this to me it would be much appreciated.

Thank You

Every web site is different, we try to make it as easy as possible but it's not always the case.

I've attached a .rdm export of 4 sessions (hostmonster (FireFox & IE), meraki (FireFox & IE) all opening embedded. All four populate the username/password when opened embedded. Import the file and have a look.

There are a few issues:
- the submit button of hostmonster has no ID assigned therefore we don't currently support the "auto-submit" on that site
- If you use the Chrome extension (external mode) the Email field of Meraki won't be populated, it's a bug on our side

Let me know if those work for you or if you need more assistance.

Hi

I did a quick run and the import file worked. Thank You.

Now I will have a look through the configurations to see how you have things setup.

That was an amazingly fast response. I really appreciate your help.

Have a great week....

Robert
