I will assign this to our dev. Perhaps there is a setting that we miss in RDM. It supposed to work since we embed Putty in RDM.

Hi Kami,
What version of RDM are you using?
Also are you using the SSH Shell entry or the Putty entry?
And last question, could you record a video from RDM or not, of the problem. We would like to reproduced it on our infrastructure.
Best regards,
David Grandolfo

hi is there any update on this issue?
Hello,
Our engineering department is still investigation the current issue.
Sorry for the delay.
Best regards,

Hello,
I had a quick chat with our engineering department and we would like to know the following:
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Yes I am promted once in putty
I have default putty installation
Hello,
Could you do a quick test for me please, if you save your password inside the SSH Shell session, are you prompt to enter the password once or twice or none?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
none
Hello,
Our engineering department has a potential fix for the issue that you have.
This will be available in the next release of RDM Beta.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
new beta version fixed this issue
thank you
i got one more question - did you fix this problem by trying to enter password several times? it may lock accounts on hardened systems.
Hello,
What we did to fix the issue was put the password in a cache on the terminal level. This means we only give it the password once, then every time the server / protocol asks for it, it can provide it directly instead of prompting.
Are you encountering any issues due to this change?
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
If I mistype password I see 4 or 5 failed attempts to enter password
We can reproduce it, but unfortunately this issue is independent of the fix we made, we found the same one in previous versions. Denis is now assigned to this topic, he will look at it as soon as possible.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
